Spinacia Oleracea – Spinach 

Spinacia Oleracea is commonly known as Spinach a cool-season crop that should be planted in early spring. The plant grows a rosette of dark green leaves. The savoy types are Spinach is rich in vitamins and minerals and can be eaten raw.

Planting & Care 

Sunlight: Select a sunny site, away from trees and close to a water source 

Soil: Need a fertile, well-drained soil.

Watering: Only need to be watered during summer, Water twice a week for the first month

Temperature:  best growth occurring between 60 to 65°F (15 to 18°C). 

Fertilizer: Can use a fertilizer formulated for vegetables.
