Gerbera mix

Gerbera is a genus of plants in the Asteraceae. It was named in honor of German botanist and medical doctor Traugott Gerber who traveled extensively in Russia and was a friend of Carl Linnaeus. Gerbera is native to tropical regions of South America.

Sunlight: Keep in an area with full direct sunlight.

Soil: Gerbera is a plant that requires a good soil mix to bloom again and again.

Water: Deeply water your plants once a week.

Fertilizer: Use micronutrient-rich plant fertilizer.

Temperature: Gerbera requires temperatures that hover between 64°F to 75°F (18°C to 24°C) and never drop below 57°F (13°C).

Pruning: Be sure to trim the plant after the bloom starts to wilt to help new blooms grow.
