Zanthoxyllum
Zanthoxylum plants belong to the member of Rutaceae family and commonly known as Sichuan pepper, Chinese pepper. Chinese Pepper Bonsai or Zanthoxylum beecheyanum makes a pretty medium to large bonsai tree with aromatic bark and leaves used as a pepper substitute, and growing about 15 feet rounded to upright, spiny, deciduous or evergreen trees and shrubs.
How To Care
sunlight: It can grow in semi-shade (light woodland) or no shade.
Soil: Preferring a well-drained loamy soil and Suitable pH: acid, neutral and basic (alkaline) soils
Watering: Water well but again, do not overwater and let the plant dry out in between waterings.
Fertilizer: Feed once a month during the growing season and then during the wintertime, you can even feed it
Temperature: needs a warm place with a lot of light with temperatures between 16° C and 23° C / 60° F and 75° F.
Potting: We can repot it every two to three years.
Pruning: Let the branches extend fully before pruning which usually means seven to 10 leaf nodes and then prune back to three.
